Cuttack: Adding sparkle to the Bali Jatra celebrations here is a stall by the differently-abled which specializes in handmade herbal products.
The kiosk in discussion is managed by the Dibyanga Charitable Foundation which is based out of Malihata, in Mahanga of Cuttack district.
Speaking to OMMCOM NEWS, one of the store managers said, “We have been doing business at Bali Jatra for last 3 years. Even if the footfall is good this year, the business has not been that good. We hope to make up with just three days left for the fair to end.”
The kiosk was seen putting on sale products like incense stick, phenyl, soaps, rose water (gulab jal), toothpaste and other Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) which the organizations boast to be purely herbal and handmade. Also on display were ajwain, amla and other similar products. Attracting their little customers, the stall also sold toys for kids.
The annual fanfare of Bali Jatra ends on November 21 after getting a three-day extension due to huge public demand.
