Bhubaneswar: In a Diwali treat for students and teachers, the State government has declared a holiday on Monday for all schools under the School and Mass Education department. The decision was made instead of a local holiday on October 20.

The department has instructed all District Education Officers to ensure the holiday is observed in all government and government-aided schools across the state, except in Nuapada district. This move is expected to bring joy to students and staff alike, allowing them to celebrate the festival.
