Bhubaneswar: A day after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced abolition of contractual jobs in Odisha Government, a notification on repealing of Contractual Appointment Rules and regularisation of contractual employees was released by the General Administration and Public Grievances Department.
According to the official notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department of Odisha Government, Odisha Group B, C and D posts (Repeal and Special Provisions) Rules, 2022 will come into force on the date of their publication in the Odisha Gazette.
As per the notification, the services of Group B, C and D employees appointed on contractual basis under Contractual Appointment Rules, 2013, will be regularised as the contractual posts are repealed.
The employees (initial appointees) appointed under the Contractual Appointment Rules, 2013 will receive benefits like regular employees of the state government.
