Bhubaneswar: Odisha has recorded a remarkable growth in GST collections, with a 24.98% increase in State GST collections in July 2024 compared to the same period last year. The state collected Rs. 2035.18 crore under State GST (OGST + IGST Settlement) in July 2024, up from Rs. 1628.43 crore in July 2023.
The progressive collection under State GST up to July 2024 stands at Rs. 8866.95 crore, marking a 25.67% growth over the corresponding period last year.
Additionally, Odisha saw a 16.01% increase in Gross GST collections in July 2024, with a total collection of Rs. 4925.02 crore, up from Rs. 4245.40 crore in July 2023. The progressive collection under Gross GST up to July 2024 stands at Rs. 20841.33 crore, marking a 15.41% growth.
The Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, also reported a growth of 18.15% in collections under all Acts, including OGST/IGST Settlement/VAT and Profession Tax, with a total collection of Rs. 3209.66 crore in July 2024.
The state also saw a 4.44% increase in e-waybill generation, with 21.02 lakh waybills generated in July 2024, compared to 20.13 lakh in July 2023. This reflects the buoyancy in the state’s economy, with 12.10 lakh intra-state waybills and 8.92 lakh inter-state waybills generated during the month
