State Level Security Committee For Railways (SLSCR) Meeting Held In Bhubaneswar

**Bhubaneswar:** A State Level Security Committee For Railways (SLSCR) was held in the DGP Campus Office in Bhubaneswar in which discussions regarding safety of rail passengers especially in Mao-hit areas.

The action taken after the 2nd SLSCR meeting (held on 27 Feb’18) was also discussed today in the presence of Railway Police ADG Pranabindu Acharya, DGP R P Sharma and several prominent personalities of RPF, East Coast Railways and South East Railways.

In order to ensure law and order situation, all the range IGPs, principal CSC RPF, DRM, of E.Co,SE, SEC Railways, and SsRP of Cuttack, Rourkela were informed relating to formation of Encroachment Removal Committee.
CCTVs were installed in most of the railway stations except Bondamunda, Koraput, Berhampur, Khurda, Bhadrak, Jajpur but no scanner is installed in any railway stations under GRP Odisha except Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri.

Correspondences have been made with all concerned for giving assistance to handle the disaster situation in railway area by including fire services, ODRAF, medical and local police to the members in the Disaster Management team.

A proposal for augmentation of strength in GRP Odisha has already been sent to the Government for the safety and security of railway passenger and railway properties.
