Bhubaneswar: Odisha saw a steep rise in cases for the second day in a row with 495 new COVID-19 detections within the last 24 hours. Of the new cases, 355 were in quarantine and 140 are local contact cases.
Total positive cases in the State stands at 8601 including 2853 active cases and 5705 recoveries. The I&PR Department shared the update via Twitter.
The new cases were spread over 24 districts of Odisha, with 216 detections in corona hotspot Ganjam. It was followed by 50 in Khordha, 28 in Mayurbhanj and 24 in Angul.
