Bhubaneswar: Odisha Law Minister Pratap Jena today informed the State Assembly that necessary steps are being taken for the creation of requisite posts for the proposed Civil Judge (Jr Division) court at Narla.
Replying to a query by BJD member Bhupinder Singh, Jena told the House that the creation of necessary posts for the proposed Civil Judge (Jr Division) at Karlamunda has been completed.
He added that upon receipt of draft notification from the High Court, the State government will publish the notification for the establishment of the same.
The Law Minister told the House that the establishment of a Civil Judge (Senior Division) Court at Madanpur-Rampur is under the active consideration of the High Court.
Rs 1.15 crore has been provided in the 2019-20 financial year for construction of the proposed court building at Madanpur-Rampur, he added.
Jena said that a 3-acre piece of land has been identified for the proposed court building at Narla besides a 3-acre plot of land has been chosen for the proposed court building at Karlamunda.
Replying to Singh’s query on how many JMFC, Civil Courts, and new ADJ Court are being planned to be opened in the coming year, the Law Minister said that decision on the opening of different categories of court and their locations are taken at a high-level committee the same year.
Jena told the House that allocating funds for the construction of court buildings come under the purview of the Home Department. Upon receipt of such information the House will be informed, he added.
