Bhubaneswar: On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by STF on the intervening night of May 11 and 12 near Dadhimachhagadia under Khurda Sadar police limits. During the raid three drug peddlers were nabbed. They were identified as Ranjan Kumar Patasani, Laxmidhar Swain, and Amarendra Mohapatra.
During search, brown sugar weighing 1.042 kg and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession. The accused persons could not produce any document or authority for possession such contraband brown sugar, for which they have been arrested and forwarded to the court, the STF stated.
“In this connection STF has registered a case under Sections 21(c) and 29 of NDPS Act 1985. Further investigation is underway,” the STF stated.
