Bhubaneswar: In a joint operation, a team of Special Task Force (STF) & Malkanagiri district Police apprehended one hardcore absconding interstate drug trafficker namely Munsi Prasad Singh.
Singh, who is a resident of Awadhnagar under Yadopur Police Station in Gopalganja district of Bihar, was wanted in a case registered at Mathili Police Station in Malkangiri district of Odisha.
In this case, on 12.03.2021, Mathili Police while conducting patrolling seized
contraband Ganja around 884 Kg, two Mahindra Bolero Pickup vehicles, and other
incriminating materials from the possession of accused persons Somesh Hantal and
others.
During interrogation, the accused persons confessed that as per the direction of
accused Munsi Prasad Singh of Bihar they were transporting contraband ganja. The
apprehended accused person was one of the masterminds in the instant case as well
as a noted inter-state drug trafficker (Ganja). He was absconding since the occurrence of
the case.
