Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force on Tuesday raided a poachers’ hideout in Bramhanipada village under Chakapada police limits in Kandhamal district and recovered a leopard skin. One person was detained in this connection and handed over to Tikabali Forest officials.
The man was identified as Birenmitra Nayak of Brahmanipada in Chakapada.
“During search a leopard skin and other incriminating materials were recovered from his possession. The person could not produce any authority in support of possession of the skin for which he was handed over to Forest Officials of Phulbani Forest Division,” the STF stated.
