Nayagarh: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch seized 3.1 kg brown sugar during a raid at Udayalane village near Sinduria under Nayagarh Town Police Station on late Monday night.
The team also recovered Rs 65 lakh cash, three 7mm pistols, 43 rounds of live ammunition, seven magazines, a note counting machine, four mobile phones, and one tablet from the house.
The STF has arrested one person identified as K Vickey Rao, a native of Jatni in Khordha district, in this connection and other accused persons will be nabbed soon, informed Crime Branch Additional DG Sanjeev Panda.
Since 2020, in the special drive against narcotic drugs, STF has seized more than
47 Kg of Brown Sugar and arrested 122 drug dealers/peddlers. Similarly, since 2020, in the drive against illegal arms, STF has seized 67 firearms.
