Stone Pelted At Tapaswini Express Near Lapanga, No Injuries Reported

Jharsuguda: Unidentified miscreants allegedly pelted stones at the Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express near Lapanga station in Jharsuguda district on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 5:45 am when the train was en route to Hatia.

According to reports, stones hit AC coach B-7, shattering a windowpane and causing glass shards to scatter inside the compartment.

Following the incident, personnel from the Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Jharsuguda reached the spot and initiated a probe. RPF have confirmed that none of the passengers were harmed.

The motive behind the stone-pelting remains unclear. Efforts are underway to identify those involved.
