Bhubaneswar: Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kisore Das today said that anyone involved in the marketing and selling of fake drugs will not be spared.
In the wake of seizure of huge quantity of fake medicines in Cuttack, Das said similar raids will be carried out across the State soon.
“Our CM does not tolerate these things. Under the CM’s guidance, we have started raiding suspected areas. Raids will be conducted in Sambalpur and Jharsuguda as well,” he added.
Das was responding to journalists on the recent seizure of fake Telma-AM and Telma-40 tablets, which are used to treat high blood pressure, following raids on medicine stores and distributors in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar.
The Twin City Police on Tuesday arrested two persons on charges of supplying fake Telma-AM and Telma-40 tablets to retailers in Cuttack.
