Malkangiri: Bus service by private operators has come to a halt in Odisha’s Malkangiri district from Tuesday.
As per reports, the private bus owners’ association of the district opposing the plying of air-conditioned LAccMI buses from the Block headquarters to the District headquarters has stopped plying private buses in the district from today. The private bus owners said that the tier two bus service under LAccMI service was impacting their business adversely.
The bus owners’ association has suffered a lot of loss due to lack of passengers in private buses.
Therefore, until this bus service is stopped, the private bus owners’ association of the district has said that private buses won’t ply in the district for an indefinite period.
As a result of the strike, commuters faced a harrowing time waiting for hours to avail a bus to reach their destination.
