Stringent Action Against Those Found Guilty: Minister Suryabansi Suraj Over FM College Incident

Bhubaneswar: The government will take stringent action against those found guilty in the Balasore FM college girl’s self-immolation case. Higher Education Minister Suryabansi Suraj stated that the accused HOD has been taken into police custody and forwarded to court.

A high-level committee led by the department director, a joint secretary-rank officer, and an academician (principal of another college) has been formed to investigate the incident. The committee will probe the circumstances leading to the unfortunate event.

The Minister confirmed that the government has suspended the college principal and HOD and is taking all necessary steps to save the life of the girl, who is undergoing treatment at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar. The Minister has also discussed the matter with the Chief Minister and AIIMS authorities to ensure the girl receives the best possible care.

The government has assured that it will take a strict action against those found guilty, and the investigation will be conducted thoroughly to bring the perpetrators to justice.
