**Bhubaneswar:** The students’ wing of Congress, the National Students Union of India (NSUI), staged a rally from Master Canteen to the Labour Office in the capital city on Friday condemning the unholy nexus between Dr Motilal Gouda and the ruling BJD party.
In addition, they burnt the posters of the controversial selfies that have already created flutters in the political circles.
Moreover, members of NSUI have handed a demand letter to the Labour officer demanding the probe against Gouda by CBI, not by the Crime Branch.
It also demanded immediate arrest of Dr. Gouda.
BJP spokesperson Bhrugu Baxipatra at a press meet today has also demanded that the probe should be discontinued by the Crime Branch and taken over by the CBI.
Meanwhile, BJD refutes these allegations by terming them baseless.
On the other hand, BJD spokesperson Amar Satpathy clarified that the Crime Branch is probing into the matter in a proper manner and the culprits will be brought to justice very soon.
As per news update, Orissa High Court on Friday reportedly rejected the anticipatory bail applied by Dr Gouda following which he is very likely to face the legal actions now.
