Paradip: One among three school students went missing while taking bath at Paradip sea today. The missing student was identified as Anshuman Das, a Class IX student of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Paradip Port.

As per sources, Anshuman along with his classmates Sai Jyoti and Subham Kullu got swept away by strong water current while bathing.

While Sai and Subham were rescued by locals participating in a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan organised by the Paradip Municipality at the sea beach, Anshuman went missing.

A rescue operation was launched by Fire Services personnel of Paradip Port and local fishermen. Locals are vexed over the inaction of Paradip Marine Police to provide security to persons visiting the beach.

Till last reports came in, Indian Coast Guard has joined the search and rescue operation.
