Berhampur: A Class VI student started selling groundnuts, puffed rice, and other snacks in front of a school after he was not able to get admission. Such an incident has occurred at Kumari village under Purusottampur police limits of Ganjam district.
Reportedly, after being deprived of enrollment in Kumari Upper Primary School, Shiva Sankar, son of Krushna Chandra Panda of Kumari village started selling puffed rice, biscuit, and chickpeas outside the school.
His father said Shiva was not able to get admission even after approaching the authorities. Finally, he took the step to draw the attention of the district administration.
However, the school headmistress refuted the allegation. She said that Shiva’s father had been asked to come on a particular day for admission but he did not turn up. Steps will now be taken for his admission.
