Students Demand Cancellation Of Odisha Plus II Exam, Minister Gives June Deadline

Bhubaneswar: Students are staging a protest at Lower PMG Square in Bhubaneswar demanding the cancellation of Plus II examinations, a day after Odisha Government announced the cancellation of Class X examination.

School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash yesterday informed that the Class-X Examination conducted by BSE, Odisha scheduled to be held from 03.05.2021 and all Examinations of Odisha State Board of Madrasa Education scheduled to be held from 19.05.2021 are hereby cancelled.

On the other hand, Minister Dash advised the students to keep studying. He said that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has already announced to review the Covid situation and take a decision in June.

The Chief Minister had earlier announced to postpone the Plus II or Class XII examinations under the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE). He had further informed that the State Government and CHSE will review the situation in the first week of June and make the decision to conduct the Class XII examination.
