Bhubaneswar: The State government will release the second phase of financial assistance of the first instalment of Subhadra Yojana on October 9.
Beneficiaries who have completed their application process by October 7 will receive their first installment of Rs 5,000, deputy chief minister Pravati Parida gave the significant update while speaking to the media today.
The money will be released by chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi at a special event in Baripada of Mayurbhanj district, which witnessed the highest number of Subhadra beneficiaries, she added.
“The chief minister instructed for the early release of the second phase assistance. We have decided to release the second phase money on October 9 on the occasion of Dussehra, which is a significant festival Devi Durga. As many beneficiaries as have registered by October 7, they all will get the assistance. The assistance may be credited to over 40 lakh beneficiaries on that day,” Parida said.
Over 25 lakh beneficiaries received their first installment in the first phase. In the second phase, around 40 lakh women would get the assistance, Parida said. Parida said that 96 lakh beneficiaries have registered themselves. CM Majhi will also felicitate the first and one croreth beneficiary at the function in Baripada.
