Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government is set to transfer the second phase of funds of the first intsallment for the Subhadra Yojana scheme, with approximately 35 lakh beneficiaries receiving Rs 5,000 each by 12 noon on Wednesday.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Tuesday announced that women beneficiaries with National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) clearance will receive the funds directly into their bank accounts.
“The Chief Minister will release the second phase to the accounts of the beneficiaries before 12 pm tomorrow. It is a historic initiative that one crore women have already joined the scheme within a fortnight. I must thank all the women beneficiaries who are proved to be digitally advanced,” said Parida.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will distribute the second phase of funds during a program in Baripada. The total number of applications for the Subhadra Yojana has surpassed one crore mark as of Monday.
The Subhadra Yojana seeks to empower women financially, promoting economic growth and stability in the State. With its ambitious goals, the scheme is expected to make a significant impact on the lives of its beneficiaries.
More than one crore beneficiaries have registered themselves under the epoch-making Subhadra Yojana which would be a big achievement, Parida said.
The scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday, September 17, aims to provide financial support to women across the State.
