Bhubaneswar: Around 22% of the rejected beneficiaries will receive financial assistance in the third phase of the Subhadra scheme, which is scheduled to be credited to their bank accounts on November 24, informed Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Saturday.
According to Parida, the state government has decided to re-verify rejected applications. Beneficiaries whose applications were initially rejected will now be added to the scheme. Around 22% of these beneficiaries will receive financial assistance in the third phase, starting tomorrow.
“Tomorrow, 22% of the 2.67 lakh rejected beneficiaries will receive Rs 5,000 under the scheme. The remaining beneficiaries, who were excluded due to other reasons, will also be added to the scheme after verifying their reports at the block level. In addition to these beneficiaries, all Anganwadi workers will also receive their first installment of Subhadra Yojana in the third phase tomorrow. The government aims to cover 1 crore beneficiaries under the scheme by December this year. The fourth phase money of the scheme will be disbursed in December”, maintained Parida.
It is pertinent to mention that the Subhadra Yojana, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to provide financial assistance to women beneficiaries.
Over 60 lakh women beneficiaries have received financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana in the first two phases of the first installment.
