Subhadra Yojana

Bhubaneswar: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Women & Child Development, Pravati Parida, on Tuesday announced that the list of beneficiaries excluded from the Subhadra Yojana will be reviewed in a meeting scheduled for Wednesday.

The government aims to ensure that no original beneficiary is left out of the scheme.

“From the very beginning, we have maintained that original beneficiaries under the Subhadra Yojana will not be excluded. Once we receive verified reports, those who have been left out will be included through a revised process. We have sought clarifications from three departments, and based on their inputs, a final decision will be taken in the review meeting tomorrow. The outcome will be shared with the media after the meeting,” said Deputy CM Pravati Parida while speaking to reporters.

The Women and Child Development Department has sought data from the Commerce and Transport Department regarding women owning four-wheelers, from the Health Department regarding deceased beneficiaries, and from the Food Supplies Department on landholdings of women who have sold rice.

The review meeting will consider these reports to assess eligibility and finalize the list of beneficiaries under the scheme.
