Bhubaneswar: The State government has set March 31 as the deadline for ‘Subhadra’ application.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced the final date. All the applicants who apply by this date will receive the financial benefit of three instalments simultaneously.

“On the occasion of Rakhi Purnima, beneficiaries will receive their financial assistance in three instalments at a time,” said Parida.

“The Subhadra Yojana has achieved a milestone by reaching over 1 crore beneficiaries within a span of eight months, ahead of International Women’s Day. The success of the scheme can be attributed to the tireless efforts of grassroots workers, Anganwadi workers, and Bank Mitra personnel. The beneficiaries will receive the funds directly into their bank accounts on March 8,” Parida said.

The Odisha government has announced the fifth phase of the first installment of Subhadra Yojana. The office of the Chief Minister informed that the fifth phase money will be disbursed on March 6, while the second installment will be credited on March 8, coinciding with International Women’s Day.

The second instalment is expected to benefit over 1 crore beneficiaries, providing them with financial assistance to support their economic empowerment. The Subhadra Yojana is a flagship programme launched by the Odisha government to provide direct financial assistance to women from economically weaker sections.

Under the scheme, eligible women aged 21 to 60 years receive Rs 50,000 over five years, disbursed in annual installments of Rs 10,000. The government has set up a total budget of Rs 55,825 crore for the implementation of the scheme.
