Bhubaneswar: The Subhadra Yojana will include all women in the State, said Deputy CM Pravati Parida on Sunday.
“The State cabinet has given its approval for the Subhadra Yojana and is currently in the drafting phase. The scheme will roll out within 100 days after the completion of the drafting process. All women of the State will be beneficiaries under the scheme”. Said; Parida.
Dy CM Parida, also serving as the Minister for Women & Child Development (W&CD), clarified about the implementation of the scheme while addressing the media.
The State government had also sought financial assistance from the centre for the Subhadra Yojana.
On Saturday, Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, in a written memorandum asked for partial support from the Centre for implementation of the scheme.
The Subhadra Yojana aims to promote, women’s welfare through entrepreneurship giving them scope to lead a dignified life.
Under the scheme, every woman in the State will receive a voucher of Rs 50,000, which they can encash within two years of the issue date.
