Bhubaneswar: Today marks the deadline for submitting applications for the National Common Entrance Test-2026 (NCET).  Students can apply for the four-year B.Ed course under Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) through the National Testing Agency’s website, (exams.nta.nic.in/ncet), by 11:50 pm tonight.

According to reports, a total of 1,300 seats are available for the 4-year B.Ed (Integrated Teacher Education Programme) across five universities and eight government colleges under the state’s higher education department. Admissions will be based on the NCET score, and the entrance exam is scheduled for April 17. The programme will be offered through NCET from the 2026-27 academic year onwards.

After the NCET results are declared, eligible candidates can apply through the SAM portal and choose their preferred institution based on their percentile score. The merit list will be prepared based on the NCET score. Plus II students can directly enroll in the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) and complete their graduation and B.Ed course in 4 years.

For 2026-27, entrance exams for 2-year B.Ed, M.Ed, and B.Ed courses will be conducted by the State Selection Board (SSB) as usual, according to the Higher Education Department.
