Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of the holy month of Shravan, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a breathtaking sand sculpture of Lord Shiva on Puri beach on Monday.
The intricate sculpture features Lord Shiva adorned with a crescent moon on his head, with the river Ganga flowing from his matted locks (jata). A Shiva Linga is depicted on the right side of the Lord, while a yellow-coloured snake is seen on the left side, adding to the beauty of the sand art.
Through this sand sculpture, Sudarsan Pattnaik conveys a message that Lord Shiva’s blessings bring strength, peace, and devotion to the world. The sand artist has inscribed ‘Om Namah Shivaya, May Mahadev bless us with strength, peace, and devotion’ along with the sculpture.
Taking to his X handle, Pattnaik wrote: “Om Namah Shivaya. On this holy #ShravanSomvar, may Mahadev bless us with strength, peace & devotion. My sand art at Puri Beach, Odisha – a humble tribute to Lord Shiva.”
