Puri: Internationally acclaimed sand artist Padmashri Sudarshan Pattnaik has sculpted a beautiful gigantic image of Lord Ganesh using sand and seashells with a message for ‘World Peace’ on the beach here to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi which falls tomorrow.
The massive sculpture attracted a large number of tourists.
This is the first time Pattnaik has carved a sand art using seashells and obviously the sand.
Over 7,000 seashells have been used in the sculpture which took around four hours to complete.
“My greetings to all for Ganesh Puja, we all will celebrate Ganesh Puja by sticking to Covid protocol as the pandemic is not over yet. I believe this for the first time in the world a piece of art has been created using sand and seashells. Over 7,000 seashells have been used in this sculpture. It has been created to give the message of peace to the world,” stated Pattnaik speaking to reporters.
