Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday conducted simultaneous raids on the houses and property of Banamali Naik, Inspector of Co-operative Societies-cum-Secretary, Regulated Market Committee (RMC), Sargipalli, Sundargarh, on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets.
Separate teams of the anti-corruption agency led by 5 DSPs, 7 Inspectors, 4 ASIs and other staff, on the strength of search warrants issued by the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh, conducted simultaneous searches at the following five places in Sundargarh district.
1. Two Triple-Storeyed buildings located over Plot No.2157 at Talsankara Mouza(Kendupada) under Sundargarh Town Police Station.
2. Double-storyed building located at Talsankara mouza (Dengibhadi) under Sundargarh Police Station
3. Native house at Kukuridihi under Kinjirikela Police Station
4. Relative’s house at Sareikela under Lefripada Police Station
5. Office Chamber of Naik at Sundargarh Town.
So far, Vigilance has unearthed the following assets:
1.) Cash of Rs.2.97 Lakhs
2.) Bank deposits approx Rs 14 Lakhs in PNB, HDFC, and SBI accounts.
3.) 2 triple-storyed buildings measuring a total plinth area of 2800 sq ft in one building and a total of 4500 sq ft in another building over plot No. 2157 at Mouza Talsankara( Kendupada) under Sundargarh Town Police Station.
4.) Plot measuring an area of A.0.25 decimal having Khata No. 55, vide Plot No. 397/P at Mouza Chhatabar under Hemgir Police Station.
5.) Plot measuring an area of A.0.18 decimal having Khata No. 371, vide Plot No. 2616 at Mouza Darlipalli under Lephripara Police Station.
6.) Plot measuring an area of A0.12 decimal having Khata No. 195, vide Plot No. 2157/1 at Mouza Talasankara (Badapatrapali), Sundargarh.
7.) Plot measuring an area of A0.15 decimal having Khata No. 264,vide Plot No. 738 /4055/1 at Talasankara Mouza (Dengibhadi), Sundargarh.
8.) Approximately 217 gms of Gold Jewellery and approximately 682 gms of Silver Jewellery.
9.) Insurance deposits of Rs.13.86 lakhs.
10.) Bank deposits are under verification.
