Sundargarh: As many as seven new positive cases of Scrub Typhus have been detected in Odisha’s Sundargarh in the last 24 hours.
While one person has reportedly succumbed to the deadly infection, the total number of cases in Sundargarh has increased to 169 with the newly detected cases.
The Chief District Medical Officer (CDMO) has ascertained that an ample stock of medicines is available for the patients and a special team of doctors is prepared in the district to attend to the patients.
Several people in the district are showing symptoms like fever, headache, and chest pain. ANM and Asha workers have been directed to spread public awareness about the deadly virus, informed the CDMO.
