Sundergarh: The police foiled a bank dacoity in main market area of the town here on Tuesday. The miscreant looted Rs 15 lakh from a branch Axis Bank here at gunpoint and was fleeing in a motorcycle.
He was nabbed by the police near Shankara Road followed by an exchange of fire. The miscreant was identified as Jayadev Nayak. The cash and firearm of the accused has been seized, said SP Sagarika Nath.
“The person involved in the robbery has been admitted to the hospital. We have registered a case and invetigating the incident further,” Nath added.
