Jajpur: Farmers at Goleipur panchayat in Korei block of Jajpur district are now able to earn a good income by farming Sunsuniya Saag or Sushni Leaves on acres of farmland and selling them in and outside the State.
Local farmers earlier used to cultivate paddy but faced a lot of damage due to various problems and natural disasters. But in Sunsuniya farming they are able to reap benefits with the use of less fertiliser.
Traders are taking the Sunsuniya leaves from farmers and selling them in and outside the State. Because of a good earning opportunity, more and more farmers are now interested in the farming of Sunsuniya leaves.
