Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Monday revoked the suspension of 1997 batch IPS officer DS Kutey with immediate effect and has posted him as OSD in the Home Department.
“…. State government after careful consideration have been pleased to revoke the suspension of Shri DS Kutey, IPS with immediate effect pending initiation of disciplinary proceedings.
Now, therefore on revocation of suspension, Shri DS Kutey, IPS is posted as OSD, Home Department,” read an Order issued by the Home Department.
Notably, the Election Commission of India (ECI) had on 28th May directed for placing Kutey Special Secretary to CM under suspension for allegedly unduly interfering in the conduct of election.
Following the direction of the ECI Kutey was placed under suspension with immediate effect on 29th May pending contemplation of disciplinary proceedings.
During the period of suspension headquarters of Kutey was fixed as the Office of the Resident Commissioner, Odisha, New Delhi.
The State government revoked Kutey’s suspension following the decision of the ECI to revoke Kutey’s suspension.
