Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, two persons lost their lives, and ten others were injured when a Bolero fell off from an under-constructed bridge at Jhankarpada, Khairapada, near Jujumara, Sambalpur on Sunday late night.
According to sources, the vehicle with more than ten passengers on board was en route to Puri from Chhattisgarh when the driver accidentally drove into an incomplete bridge on an underpass above the elephant corridor on NH-55 connecting Sambalpur and Cuttack.
The injured passengers were quickly admitted to Burla Hospital for treatment.
Two deceased passengers are yet to be identified.
Local police have started an investigation on the matter. Further details on the incident are awaited.
