Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi hailed three entrepreneurial farmers for successfully cultivating strawberries at Banki in Cuttack district, marking a significant milestone in agricultural diversification.
He emphasized the importance of agricultural innovation, government support, and recognizing farmers as key drivers of the state’s growth.
The CM emphasized that farmers are not just food providers, but architects of modern Odisha. He’s proud of the collaboration between farmers and the government, showcasing Odisha’s potential for agricultural innovation.
Besides, the CM encouraged farmers to explore new avenues and reassuring them of government support.

Through the dedication of three entrepreneurial farmers and the government’s sectoral support, strawberry cultivation has been successfully achieved in Banki soil for the first time. This is not just a crop, but a beautiful synergy of the skills of Odisha’s farmers and governmental encouragement. Our government does not see farmers merely as ‘providers of food,’ but as the architects of modern Odisha.
