Bhubaneswar: In a major breakthrough, the Kalahandi Town Police have successfully returned a mobile phone that was snatched from a girl by an unknown man on Sunday.
According to Police, the incident occurred when the girl was walking near the town police station. An unidentified youth grabbed her phone and fled the scene.
The girl immediately called the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) number 112 to report the theft.
Upon receiving the call, the Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) team quickly arrived at the spot and began their investigation.
When the thief learned of the police’s swift action, he became scared, threw the phone on the road and ran away. A passerby found the phone and handed it over to the police.
