Bhubaneswar: The former secretary of Visakhapatnam Port Authority, T. Venu Gopal, has assumed charge as the Deputy Chairperson of Paradip Port Authority (PPA).
Venu Gopal began his career at Visakhapatnam Port in 1995 and has since held key positions across multiple departments. He has also served as secretary at both Deendayal and Visakhapatnam Ports.
During his tenure, he has been recognised for spearheading major initiatives, including Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) and Swachh Bharat, and has contributed to several national-level committees.
Sharing the information on the social media platform X, Paradip Port Authority stated that it welcomed Venu Gopal as its new Deputy Chairman.
The post lauded his “steady guidance and commitment” and noted that his contributions to various IPA and Ministry-level committees reflect his strong expertise.
