Take The Lead In Industrialising Districts: Asit Tripathy To Collectors

Bhubaneswar: Principal Advisor to Chief Minister and Chairman Western Odisha Development Council (WODC), Asit Tripathy was on a visit to Jharsuguda on Monday to review the ongoing development projects. He was accompanied by Industry Secretary Hemant Sharma and IPICOL MD, Nitin B Jawale during the visit.

The team reviewed the progress of investment proposals for the creation of employment opportunities in different sectors. Tripathy directed the Collectors to take the lead in industrialisation of their districts by leveraging the facilitating policies of the Government.

There are many proactive policies introduced by the Odisha Government which are proactive and have created a benchmark at the national level, said Tripathy. The GO SWIFT portal of the Odisha Government has been praised by the NITI Aayog.

“Our focus was to review the progress of industries which got clearance through the Single Window mechanism in Sundergarh, Deogarh, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur districts. I wanted to carry out the review in the ground rather than doing it from Bhubaneswar,” Tripathy added.

Different steps have been taken to address the concerns of the stakeholders. The remaining issues pertaining to land acquisition, forest clearance and coordination will be addressed at the earliest, he added.
