Talcher Sizzles At 38.3 Degree Celsius

Bhubaneswar: Following the onset of pre-summer weather condition since the concluding week of February this year, coal-mine-dotted Talcher area remained the hottest place today with a maximum (day) temperature of 38.3 degree Celsius (C), the Evening Weather Bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated.

The IMD weather inputs added that Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar in the coastal region and Titilagarh in the western region realized maximum temperature of 38.2 degree C.

Similarly, Nayagarh and Malkangiri recorded maximum temperature of 38.0 degree C today followed by Bolangir-37.8, Angul-37.7, Cuttack-37.5, Sambalpur-37.3, Jharsuguda-37.2, Bhawanipatna (Kalahandi)-37.0 degree C while Sonepur realized 36.6, Hirakud (Sambalpur) and Baripada (Mayurbhanj) registered 36.5 degree C each today, the IMD’s Evening Weather Bulletin informed.
