**Kendrapada:** In a gruesome incident, a Tata Ace driver was shot dead by some unidentified bikers near Chhedra canal in Kendrapada district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Swain from Khadianga here. At around 12 pm, Rajesh was heading towards Pattamundai in his Tata Ace: OD-29-A-77-44.Two bike-borne miscreants stopped his vehicle at Nilakanthapur and dragged him out. They opened fire at him and fled the spot.
Himanshu Swain, brother of the deceased said, “As per my knowledge he has no enmity nor I suspect anyone.”
After getting information, police rushed to the spot and has seized the body and sent it for post-mortem. The reason behind such incident is still not known.
Neelakantha Patra, IIC, Sadar PS informed, “We have brought the body for an autopsy and will start the investigation. The reason behind this death is still not known.”
