Phulbani: The son of a poor tea seller has cracked the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 in the district. The young and talented Suraj Kumar Behera made it to the list with 635 marks to achieve a rank of 8,056 at the national level.
His father, Harishankar Behera of Masterpada in Phulbani, runs a small tea stall at Medical Chowk here. Behera said that he was proud of his son who has always been very good in his studies From childhood, Suraj topped in the class and has studied in Government institutions all through his career
After passing the ISc with 80% marks, he had enrolled into BSc at the Government college here. Suraj aims at becoming a good doctor in the future and dedicate himself to serving the ailing. Suraj is the second among three brothers in his family.
“I have served tea to so many senior doctors and professors all my life. It will be such a proud moment to see my son donning the doctor’s apron marked with his name. My dreams have come true,” Behera said
