Koraput: Jeypore Sadar Police on Tuesday arrested a teacher on charges of raping a woman of Ambaguda village and forwarded him to court.
The accused has been identified as Prafulla Kumar Sethy, a resident of Panchabati Nagar.
As per police sources, the victim was asleep after having lunch when Prafulla allegedly broke into her house and raped her in the absence of her family members on February 7.
The accused had threatened him with dire consequences if she would disclose the matter to anyone.
Sadar police registered a case after a complaint was lodged in this regard on February 10 and arrested the accused, informed Sadar Police IIC Iswar Tandi.
