Teacher Dies After Being Run Over By Truck In Sundargarh

Bhubaneswar: A teacher died after being run over by a truck on the State Highway 10 near the Mahabir Chhak area under Badagaon police limits in Sundargarh district, on Saturday.

The deceased teacher has been identified as Priyanka Behera.

She was travelling on a motorcycle with her uncle Baikuntha Behera, and niece Chandrika Behera when the mishap took place. Baikuntha and Chandrika suffered minor injuries after being thrown off the vehicle while Priyanka died on the spot after being run over by the truck.

The accident sparked widespread outrage, with locals blocking the road and demanding compensation for the victim’s family. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
