Bhubaneswar: A teacher died during Ganesh Puja celebrations at Saleikena Government Upper Primary School under Telkoi block in Keonjhar district, on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Chandan Kumar Jena, an assistant teacher at the school and a native of Antarai village under Bhograi block in Balasore district.
According to reports, Jena suddenly collapsed while he, along with fellow staff members and students, was offering prayers to Lord Ganesh during the Ganesh Puja. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
Jena is survived by his wife and a three-year-old daughter.
