Puri: A special team of the Technical Committee of the Shree Jagannath Temple today inspected the condition of the Garbha Gruha (sanctum sanctorum) of the 12th-century shrine, said officials of the temple administration in the know of things.
The team also inspected the nata mandap, jagamohan, etc of the temple, the officials added.
Apart from checking the earthing system of the temple, the Chief Engineer of the Works Department, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) officials and other technical experts conducted a routine check of the temple.
The team took stock of the progress made in the construction of the doors of the Beheran Dwar which are being replaced with new ones. It also inspected other doors of the temple.
The inspection of the temple was underway at the filing of this report.
