Tele Medicine Facility For Milk Farmers Launched

Bhubaneswar: Chairman Western Odisha Development Council and Principal Advisor to Chief Minister, Asit Tripathy today inaugurated a tele medicine facility for cattle and livestock farmers in Bolangir.

The tele medicine facility equipped with a mobile van will cater to the needs of the livestock farmers of Bolangir, Kalahandi, and Nuapada.

On the occasion, Tripathy said, “Impressed by the performance of the Bolangir, Kalahandi and Nuapada milk union headquarters at Bolangir. They already have 15,000 members with 65,000 litres daily production.”

The telemedicine service and mobile health clinic for bovines will be very helpful for the farmers, he said and added that he was touched by the cooperative spirit of the milk farmers.

The mobile van and telephonic veterinary services with latest technologies will serve the three districts. On the occasion, Bolangir Collector Chanchal Rana shared the roadmap for future expansion of Bolangir – Kalahandi – Nuapada regional milk union and released second newsletter of the union.
