Bhubaneswar: While pre-monsoon activity was reported over several parts of Odisha, scorching heat with humidity made life miserable.
As many as 13 places in the State recorded maximum day temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius or above.
Out of these, six places recorded maximum day temperatures of 43 degrees or above.
Sonepur in western Odisha was the hottest place in the State by recording a maximum day temperature of 44.2 degrees Celsius.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded maximum day temperatures of 38 and 38.4 degrees Celsius respectively.
