Bhubaneswar: While the present night temperature is above the normal, it is likely to gradually fall by 3-5 degree Centigrade in interior Odisha while in coastal Odisha it may fall by 2-3 degree Centigrade after 48 hours.
This was informed today by India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s Bhubaneswar Met Centre Director H.R. Biswas in his mid day weather bulletin video released a while ago.
The Met Centre Director informed, “Dry weather prevailed over all the districts in the State in the last 24 hours. Dense fog has also been reported from our Bhubaneswar and Paradip centres. Shallow to moderate fog was witnessed in some place of coastal and interior Odisha districts.”
He further informed, “Minimum temperature or night temperature is above normal now. In many places, the minimum temperature is 3-5 degree Centigrade more than the normal. In coastal Odisha, it was 18-20 degree Centigrade in many places while in interior Odisha, it was 15-18 degree Centigrade range.”
He added, “In the plains area, the lowest temperature was recorded at Sundargarh with 15.o degree Centigrade. So far hilly area is concerned, Koraput recorded 13.6 and Darinbadi at 13.5 degree Centigrade.”
Briefing on the weather forecast for the next five days, the weather expert said, “In the next five days, chances brewing for the advent of north-westerly dry winds flow. After 24 hours, temperature will gradually fall, initially in north-west Odisha districts like Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Angul, Mayurbhanj, etc. Later, it will fall gradually in all the districts of Odisha. After 24 hours, temperature in interior Odisha will gradually fall 3-5 degree Centigrade while in coastal Odisha, it will fall by 2-3 degree Centigrade after 48 hours.”
“In all the districts, dry weather condition likely to prevail in the next five days,” he predicted.
Speaking on fog condition, he predicted dense fog at a few places in some of the districts like Nayagarh, Boudh, Kandhamal, Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, while shallow to moderate fog is likely be experienced in other coastal Odisha districts including interior Odisha districts. Chances of dense fog are there in Bhubaneswar city this late night and tomorrow early morning, stated the weatherman.
