Bhubaneswar: Odisha recorded its highest temperature of the season so far, with Jharsuguda sizzling at 37°C on Wednesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per reports, other parts of the state also witnessed a significant rise in temperature, with Bhadrak recording 36.2°C, Balangir 36°C, Angul 35.7°C, and Bhubaneswar 34.8°C.
The Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar has predicted that the minimum temperature will drop by 3-5°C over the next four days, but there will be no significant change in the night temperature thereafter.
The sudden temperature rise has led to discomfort among the people, and the weather department has advised citizens to take necessary precautions to stay safe from the heat.
