Bhubaneswar: Palpable tension prevailed at Atharabanki in Paradip on Friday evening following the death of a youth in road accident today morning.
The mishap took place near Terminal Chowk. The protesters placed the body of the deceased on the Cuttack – Paradip highway and demanded compensation for the family of the deceased.
A police team was deployed on the spot to disperse the crowd. The youth came under the wheels of a truck and sustained critical injuries. He succumbed at SCB Medical College in Cuttack.
